It was a beautiful day at Riverbend Park. Those who arrived early were treated to the wonderful early morning colors in the sky and the silent mist rising from the river. As the day progressed the mist dissipated and the colors glowed in the light of an autumn morning.

At first it was impossible to tell which members showed up for the paint-out. Some members felt there was no need to wander to find beauty so they stayed in the area of the Visitors Center and painted river views from there. Others, like past President Dick Whiteley, Bernie Dellario, and his guest, Meg Walsh headed out on the downriver trail to find their views. They just had to see what was around the next bend, and the next, and the next. It is remarkable how far one can go in search for beauty. Others headed upriver and succumbed to the same urge. It was only when everyone got hungry that they emerged from their secluded spots to join together for lunch and the critique.
